An ode to our grandpa and great-grandpa Jan de Bruyn. My grandmother came down the stairs with an old manuscript in her hands filled with testimonials to my great-grandfather, an inspired healer with healing hands, who used his gifts through kundalini. This old mysterious manuscript was like a treasure she lovingly handed to me. This marked the beginning of a journey that not only revealed my family history but also led to a remarkable book written by Hans Peter Roel.
Intrigued by my great-grandfather's heritage, I decided to contact this renowned writer who lends his pen to spiritual stories. Supported by the dedication of my mother Diney Berg and myself, we provided him with essential information and photos. The story of my great-grandfather began to unfold in the historic surroundings of Rolduc Kerkrade.
The book Kundalini Healing Power is now one of the pearls in Hans Peter Roel's collection. For nine intensive months, it was worked on with dedication and passion, with numerous meetings in Rolduc Kerkrade serving as the forge for this masterpiece. The book goes beyond the healing hands of my great-grandfather; it highlights his time in the Dutch East Indies, his involvement with the KNIL, and weaves it all together with his workshop on kundalini.
