Great responsibility, a fast lease car, and a beautiful 1930s villa in Het Gooi were the visible results of his dream of success. But inside, Hans Peter was empty and already burnt out before his thirty-fifth birthday. Like many, he had become trapped in 'the system'. Hans Peter had gone along with the life that commerce and media had presented to him as the path to happiness. He had sold his soul at the time for money, prestige, success, and stress. This way of living came at a high price: loneliness, lack of energy and strength, and he had lost himself in the pursuit of even more success, money, and status.
